The Black Mamba owns Los Angeles. From his fourth Most Valuable Player in the 2011 NBA All-Star Game to the billboards hanging on La Cienega to his golden visage staring down from the walls in the Foot Locker House of Hoops in the Beverly Center, Kobe Bryant is an icon that people look up to and try to emulate . . . and in steps Lensley.
Over the NBA All-Star Weekend, Lensley Automatic set up in the Beverly Center, capturing people and making them into NBA icons like Kobe. Bathed in the same golden tones with the Los Fearless logo splashed across their chests, people got to hold basketballs and show off what they would do if they were on the court. In the House of Hoops, people were projected larger than life, with three 60” screens rotating through thousands of photos, and a 3-story, 100’ looming projections over the crowds of All-Star Weekend in the middle of the Beverly Center!

Los Fearless and Lensley made icons of us all!

Now entering the terrible terrific twos!

This past Thursday at LA’s now infamous Downtown Artwalk, Nike held a little launch party for their LA Destroyers campaign. Held inside an old bank building, the event was a huge success with the the powers that be (aka the fire marshall) almost shutting it down. And who could blame them? With a line wrapping around the block, amazing artwork by amazing artists, and photography by Ja Tecson, this was THE place to be! Featuring the likes of Mowii Madonna, Chauntal Lewis, and Michael Chacon, the LA Destroyers represented the City of Angels to the fullest.
The fine folks at Nike hollered at us for Automated Portraiture. With a magnetic backdrop and an enthusiastic crowd, Lensley once again brought the party to the party!

In it’s fourth year, ICE at Santa Monica is an 8,000 sq. ft. ice skating rink located minutes and blocks away from the 3rd St. Promenade and Santa Monica Beach. This year, Herbal Essences has teamed up with Portraits of Hope to transform the rink into a large scale piece of artwork, encasing a stunning floral pattern underneath the ice itself.
With a star-studded and celebrity filled opening night, Lensley was there to capture the likes of former figure skating Olympic medalists, LA Kings legends, as well as local council members.
ICE at Santa Monica is open from November 5, 2010 through February 15, 2011. Better yet, Lensley will have a presence there the entire duration of this annual tradition! We can’t imagine any place better to ice skate than in Santa Monica near the beach so bring your friends, your family, and get in front of the Lensley!

Who says you can’t be in two places at once? Nike hit us up to not only celebrate an almost week-long celebration of the grand opening of their Nike shoppe at the Mall of America but to also hold down the fort in NYC for the NYC Marathon.
Criss-crossing the lower 48, we were there to witness the largest ever group assembled in front of a Lensley device… 39 people!!

Heck, if people were standing upstairs on the 2nd floor, we would’ve caught them too. An impromptu, and fast-becoming tradition, “Lensley Challenge” was posed to a user to gather the most people she could get to stand in front of the Lensley for a group shot. Her reward? The Nike shirt off our back.. literally. Thank the heavens for undershirts!
Meanwhile, the folks in NYC were none too proud to floss their gold for finishing the marathon. People of all ages, sex, and ethnicities were captured in their best form, showing that Lensley brings the fun no matter how young or old, foreign or domestic you are. Lensley shows LOVE to ALL!

I don’t know what else can be said about The World Cup, it’s all in the books now. Vuvuzelas, questionable refereeing, and waking up mad early to catch the first game of the day were all topics of conversation and a way of life this summer. The undoubtably coolest place to take in all the action in LA was at Nike Sportswear’s Montalban theater in Hollywood. They packed them in like sardines all summer long and finally on Sunday to shout, cheer, and blow those damn horns! Thanks again Nike Sportswear for bringing us to celebrate the copa mundial and the awesome space you guys presented in The Montalban,

Yes, that is a 2010 Toyota Yaris Sport. Yes, that is also the automated photography device known as Lensley Automatic. But mostly it is the Yaris Monster Mugshot! We have had the pleasure of working with a group of the best marketing professionals to turn the smallest Toyota into a photobooth.
We kicked off the 5 city, 5 month 2010 Alli Dew Tour last week in Boston. Over the two day event we saw close to 500 people cram into the Yaris for a good time. This car does everything you would expect from a Lensley – touch screen initiation, professional grade optics, 4×6 dye-sub printing, all in a package that takes less than 1 minute per session.

The eye in the sky. 15mm wide to capture a car full of fun. “It’s too late, I’ve seen everything”

10″ Touchscreen finely wrapped by our friends at Galpin Auto Sports – Yes of Pimp My Ride Fame, who else?

The Toyota Adrenaland Monster unleashing his freak with a new friend in the ride!
We are on our way to Chicago, Portland, Salt Lake City, and finally Las Vegas in the next 4 months so make sure you stop by and see us if your around. Oh yeah and to make us look really good why don’t you go buy a Yaris or two!
The Red Butler crew pulled out the stops at the world famous House of Blues Sunset Foundation Room. Everyone was in a great mood after the 2010 World Champion LA Lakers put Boston in their place (2nd). Emperor Vodka was flowing and Massages were being dealt with authority and grace. Of course Lensley was there to capture all the fun. Congratulations again to Red Butler (the only concierge service you’ll ever need), we wish you guys nothing but continued success.
Ibiza was in full affect 1 block from where the mighty LA Lakers were stepping on the Celtics. Paul Oakenfold was spinning all the club tracks you could handle for a fine crown of gaming clientele. Atari pulled out all the stops in promotion of Test Drive Unlimited including lifting $$$,$$$ worth of autombiles to the Target Terrace at L.A. Live.
